Arizona History & Genealogy

Arizona, one of the southwestern United States, is bounded on the north by Utah; on the east by New Mexico; on the south by Mexico (Sonora); and on the west by California and Nevada, from which it is separated in part by the Colorado River. It lies between about 31º 20′ and 37º north latitude, and between 109º 3′ and 114º 49′ west longitude. The state measures about 390 miles from north to south and about 340 miles from east to west. It contains approximately 113,990 square miles, or 72,953,600 acres.

This state project is part of the much larger American History & Genealogy Project or better known by the abbreviation of AHGP. It has been in existence online since 2000 and over the years has been spread out across the web. These pages are an attempt to consolidate it under one website of the larger project.
