While the land run of Kiowa County occurred in 1901, the actual records for the county only go back to 1905. The first four years are lost to family records. The Clerk of Court has marriage, divorce, probate and court records from 1905; the County Clerk has burial, land and military records from 1905. Fortunately we know of no disasters happening to the courthouse, so the records are intact back that far.
