Judge E. D. Robertson arrived yesterday for the purpose of holding the spring term of the Greene Chancery Court.
Judge Robertson was on the ticket at the recent primary as a candidate for the democratic nomination for the office he now holds, and having no opponent received the unanimous vote of the party. Judge Robertson now holds the office by appointment of Gov. Dan W. Jones, and will be elected at the September election for a period of four years.
The judge conducts the most dignified and orderly court of any judge who ever sat upon the bench in the county and is a most pleasant and affable Christian gentleman.
Court has been in session two days and is confronted with a small docket, consisting in the main of confirmation and divorce proceedings. The proceedings will receive further attention tomorrow.
