the coast 4 miles from Timber Cove Landing, in a section
possessing a beautiful climate, which, together with its
picturesque scenery and good hunting and fishing, make
it an inviting summer resort. Stock raising is the
principal pursuit carried on. A considerable quantity of
tanbark, wood, and posts are shipped from this point to
San Francisco. Stages leave daily for Duncan's Mills,
connecting with the trains of the North Pacific E. R.
