Newspapers in Ohio
The rise and progress of the public
press in the two valleys, as herewith subjoined, is as nearly
correct as the same can be given. The newspaper, having become
the most potent intellectual engine in the world, to sway the
public mind, the historian tails in his duty as compiler of
events unless his report of the public press goes side by side
with the statistics of population and physical and mental
development.
