Mr. Berry W. Crosby

In Memoriam. Mr. B. W. Crosby was born November 23, 1836, in Appling County, and lived a Christian life. He joined the Farmers' Union, Deen Local No. 1348 in 1908 and remained a member in good standing until the death angel visited his home on the evening of September 15, 1912, and carried his spirit from this world of trouble to a place prepared for the blessed.
"Uncle Berry" as he was familiarly known, was always ready to bear his part in everything he went into. He died in manhood's meridian, leaving the last touch of noon as the shadows were silently bending toward the east. In the sparkling morning tide when hope rode on fancy's wings towards ambitions goal; when the great Artist was blending colors in the opening rose of buoyant life and cold hand of the universal avenger smote athwart his brow and he fell asleep with the multitude that have gone before. He is with Him who said "I am the way, the truth the resurrection and the life."
Respectfully, J. W. Sellers, C. M. Jones, G. L. Lynch.
