Born Sept. 24, 1945, in Owensboro, Ky., to George P. and Anna Belle Murphy Ellison, she married David Marshall on June 22, 1968, in Fayette, Ky. He preceded her in death in 2003 in Marion.
Surviving are seven children; Elizabeth (Seth) Wineland of Washington, Kathryne (Vic) Anderson of Marion, George (Michelle) Marshall of Princeton, Ky., Daniel (Jennifer) Marshall of Dyersburg, Tenn., Rebecca (Rob) Oxford of Greensburg, Pa., Deborah Marshall (John Oakes) of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Jonathan Marshall of Marion; 14 grandchildren, Krista, Korey, Steeler, Brett, Kahlan, Kristen, Mason, Eli, Brittany, Nathan, Brystin, Samantha, Broden and Olivia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Ann worked as a high school teacher at JAMP Special Education Services in Grand Chain since 1999. She was active with the American History and Genealogy Project for Williamson County and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority at Kentucky Wesleyan University.
A celebration of life service for Ann will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, in First Presbyterian Church, 421 N. 14th St. in Herrin. Pastor Wade will officiate.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family committal will be Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, in Princeton, Ky.
